EXPLORE THE WORLD

Where in the world should we go next?

Hey, I’m Mia, and I definitely didn’t come into this knowing what I was doing.

I just knew I wanted to see more of the world.

For a long time, I had the same questions most people do: Where do I go? How do I afford it? Is travelling alone actually a good idea? And what exactly am I supposed to pack without bringing my entire life with me?

Since then, there have been wrong turns, questionable buses, overpacked bags, incredible meals, new friends, a few “what have I done?” moments and a whole lot of figuring it out as I go. These days, I travel full-time, mostly solo, and I’ve learned a lot along the way.

This is where I share the things that worked, the things that didn’t, the places worth knowing about and everything I wish someone had told me before I started — so hopefully you can skip at least a few of the mistakes I made first.

EXPLORE THE WORLD

Pick a place. Let’s see what we find.

Some places I planned for months. Others made it onto the itinerary because I met someone who said, “You have to go.”

Browse by region and explore the places, experiences, food and stories I’ve collected along the way.

Latin America + Caribbean

Colourful cities, incredible food, Caribbean coastlines, colonial streets and cultures that keep giving me reasons to stay longer.

USA + Canada

Big cities, road trips, familiar places and a reminder that sometimes there is plenty left to discover closer to home.

Europe

Old streets, beautiful architecture, café tables, ridiculously good food and cities that practically insist you wander through them.

Asia

Big cities, incredible food, deep traditions and a completely different rhythm of travel that I’m only beginning to explore.

Africa

Ancient history, vibrant cities, incredible landscapes, rich cultures and places that feel completely different from anywhere else in the world.

Oceania

Big landscapes, laid-back cities, beautiful coastlines and a completely different corner of the world to explore.

TRAVEL YOUR WAY

Not every trip has to look the same.

Different trips bring out different sides of me. Some days I’m happiest wandering a city for hours. Other times, it’s a good meal, a social hostel or one unforgettable experience worth planning the whole trip around.

Solo Travel

Honest advice, practical tips and the things I’ve learned from travelling the world mostly on my own, from staying safe and meeting people to finding confidence and enjoying my own company.

Cities + Culture

Beautiful architecture, neighbourhoods, cathedrals, street art and the details that make somewhere feel completely its own.

Bucket List Experiences

The once-in-a-lifetime moments, unexpected adventures and experiences that are absolutely worth travelling for.

PERSONAL FAVOURITES

Three places I’d go back to tomorrow.

Some places are great trips.
Others stay with you long after you leave.
These three are firmly in the second category for me.

Would return immediately.

Italy

Rome is where the words Get Lost to Find More! first became part of my story. Between the architecture, long meals, tiny streets and the history around practically every corner, Italy always gives me another reason to return.

I never feel quite finished with it.

Argentina

I didn’t expect to fall quite so hard for Argentina. Buenos Aires alone has everything I love about city life: beautiful architecture, neighbourhood cafés, incredible food, lively streets and endless places to explore. I could happily spend weeks wandering here without much of a plan.

Some places just make you wish you had more time, and Argentina is definitely one of them.

Canada

Even as a Canadian, Canada still manages to leave me a little speechless. Between the towering Rocky Mountains, impossibly blue lakes, charming mountain towns and breathtaking scenery, there are so many places I never get tired of exploring.

READY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN?

The fun part is choosing where to go. The rest takes a little planning.

Between booking flights, figuring out visas, planning budgets, packing and the seventeen browser tabs I inevitably leave open, there’s a lot to keep track of before a trip.

I’ve gathered the guides, tools and resources I actually use to make the planning side of travel a little easier.

Less stress. More stamps.

FREE TRAVEL RESOURCE

Packing is easier when someone else has already overthought the list.

I travel full-time and somehow still manage to ask myself, “Am I forgetting something?” every single time I pack.

So I created a simple solo travel packing checklist to make the process easier.

Use it before your next trip, customize it for your destination and hopefully avoid realizing at the airport that the one thing you actually needed is still sitting at home.

Future you will be glad you made a list.
